Dean's Message

Dear Students,

The Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Biruni University consists of the Departments of Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Molecular Biology and Genetics (Turkish), and Molecular Biology and Genetics (English).

Through our four-year undergraduate programs prepared in accordance with national and international accreditation criteria, we aim to provide our students with a globally recognized and competent education. In addition to compulsory courses that establish a strong foundation in their field of study, we offer elective courses that allow students to specialize in areas of personal interest. We provide an educational environment that enables students to develop analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, the ability to analyze and synthesize information, and to reveal their creative and innovative potential.

At our Faculty, education is not regarded merely as a means to obtain a job or career; rather, we aim to cultivate students’ abilities to think critically in all matters, question events and problems, research unfamiliar topics, and develop a deep understanding of them.

Starting from the third semester of their studies, our successful students may participate in double major programs offered by various departments at Biruni University. In addition, students who wish to do so are provided with the opportunity to pursue a minor in their fields of interest. Within the scope of the Erasmus programs, students may study for one or two semesters at universities in European Union countries. For this purpose, equivalency of undergraduate program courses has been ensured in accordance with the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).

Dear prospective students, I invite you to join the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Biruni University for a successful future, to become a member of the Biruni family, and to shape together our University’s vision, “The Future of Science.” I wish you every success.
